Category 2 response

Category 2 response

Hello Class..!

Ok, I need to jump ahead a little, and introduce a major topic: Category 2 Responses.

Category 1 is simply the normal essence response: you take an essence, and you feel better. No surprises.

But sometimes an orchid essence will be helping you to address an issue that is held sub-consciously. For example, Being in Grace is able to clear out toxic leftover emotions which have been swept under the rug. But if it does this, the very first time that person takes the essence, they are likely to feel discomfort, almost immediately upon taking the drops of the stock essence. This is the orchid bringing the issue into conscious awareness for the person, and this is what I mean by a category 2 type response.

And here is the key thing to know about category 2 responses: the way to help the person get past that initial discomfort, is for them to take the essence a 2nd time. That's all.  95% of the time that is all that is needed. And that discomfort disappears immediately, and doesn't return.

I used to think that this type of response could happen with about half of the essences, and that it only happens with about one person in 10 with any one of them. But I have come to see that the Cat 2 response is much more common, if we pay attention to small physical responses in people taking the LTOE. In seminar I have seen people say that the essence response was fine, but it gave them (for example) a pain or tension in the left shoulder. Either giving the same essence a 2nd time, or else spraying the same essence directly on the shoulder or other affected area then cleared that tension. We don't need to know the why of that tension, the orchid essence will simply clear the minor trauma / blockage / tension that it has highlighted.

There's much more that can be said on this topic, and in the next edition of the book in 2013 I'll give a new chapter to discussing and describing it.

I hope this makes some sense.

I have not seen the Category 2 response with other essence lines, except with Mussel from the Pacific Essences. But with some of the orchids, it is a part of how they may bring their healing, as we often have many issues that have become buried in our psyche and soul.

One useful image I have for this process is that of a house full of rooms with rugs / carpets on the floors. Imagine this house as an image of your psyche. There are at least several floors to this house.

If a person finds some dirt in a room, and decides to sweep it under the nearest rug, as that is convenient, then walks away and forgets about it...  After a while we have a house with lots of stuff swept under many rugs.

Each LTOE will have a corresponding rug. And the very first time (and really ONLY the very first time) that you take an essence that corresponds to a particular rug that has "stuff" swept under it, then the orchid essence will bring that stuff into conscious awareness. That is ALL that the orchid is doing the first time the drops are taken. And because of this, the rug is lifted, and one is suddenly looking at the stuff that was hidden by the rug. This is likely to be uncomfortable. And that discomfort can be of many different sorts: physical, emotional, mental etc.

The Category 2 Response is also typically very quick to arrive once the drops have been taken, normally just 5 to 10 seconds.

And the best thing to do is to then take the same essence again, straight away. If it is a Cat 2 response (Let's call that a C2R for short...!) then there will normally be a 90% relief of the discomfort as soon as the drops are taken the 2nd time.

This process does not happen again, unless a LOT of time goes by and you bury more stuff under that same rug..!

I also wrote about this topic one one card in the deck of the Orchid Healing Cards.

Any questions?

There is a follow-up to this topic, which is what to do next, i.e., what about the remaining 10%..? This involves a process I like to call "Chasing the Dragon". But first I need to know that all of you understand the concept here with the C2R.

It is very interesting research, isn't it?

There is another technique you can use. When the C2R response comes, you then take the same essence a 2nd time, and then after that (like 60 seconds later) drop several drops of the essence on the Bai-hui point. This can be amazingly effective.

The technique I call Chasing the Dragon is a further development, which makes use of the 30ml "oral" sprays. When the C2R response comes up, and we address it with the 2nd dose of the same drops, usually at this point there will be some localised discomfort / pain / heat/ tension somewhere on the body. It could be the left shoulder, or the right ear, or the stomach area etc. So what one does is to spray with the same essence (but using the 30ml unscented spray bottle) on that affected area. And it is amazing what this does. It really seems to root out the last of the hidden trauma, like getting the roots of the weeds from the garden, not just the part you can see above ground.

So if I were working as a therapist, I would use both LTOE kits: the drops and the 30ml sprays. The sprays can be used as oral sprays, or as Aura sprays, or sprayed topically, or spray the room. They are a very flexible form for the essences. Originally I started to make them in response to some requests, not thinking they would be so useful. But as I began using them in seminar, I was astonished at how helpful they were.

So an example:

JP is a film-maker, and he attended my 5 day seminar on the LTOE last June. On the 2nd or 3rd day, we all took drops of Andean Fire, an essence which helps heal deep trauma. His meditation experience was very clear and vivid: he saw and experienced his head being cut off with a guillotine. He saw the blade, and saw the whole thing in gruesome detail. Of course as soon as he shared about this, I gave him the drops a 2nd time, and he felt much better.  But then after a minute more, I used the 30ml Andean Fire spray to spray all round his neck, then entire circumference. This brought an amazing reaction, as he felt (in his words) a lot of really nasty energy coming out of his neck, all round it. This process lasted maybe 20 to 30 seconds, the strong response to his neck being sprayed.

Then after about 2 minutes I sprayed the Andean Fire spray about 18 inches above his head, to reach the higher chakras and the crown chakra area. He then immediately felt at ease and at peace. It was like the whole trauma felt cleared and resolved, healed.

I asked him if he had ever had anyone suggest to him that maybe he had had this happen to him in a past life? And he said no, this came as a complete surprise, and he had never had any idea this might have happened to him. But the experience in the meditation was so vivid, so real, that he had no way to understand it except that this was a genuine past life, and that trauma had been held in his soul / energy body all this time.

He also said that it made some sense to him, because he found that from time to time he would suddenly speak to people in a completely uncalled-for "nasty" way, and he would be very puzzled, as he could not understand where this nasty energy was coming from.

So this was a good example of what I call "Chasing the Dragon".

All the very best,

Don
