Self-Heal Skin Creme£9.95 50gm jar Self-Heal™ Creme is made with the flower essence and whole plant tincture of the remarkable Self-Heal herb, Prunella vulgaris, and is a paraben-free formula with organic and Biodynamic herbal ingredients. Used as a moisturizer and soothing skin creme, or as a base for topical application of flower essences and essential oils, Self Heal™ Skin Creme has a loyal following around the world. The Self-Heal™ Creme is based on the remarkable properties of the Self-Heal herb (Prunella vulgaris). A truly universal plant which can be found growing wild in many parts of the world, it belongs to the Mint family. Every member of this plant family exhibits medicinal, culinary, or aromatic qualities, and it includes such plants as the mints, basil, rosemary, thyme, and lavender. Prunella has been used for centuries as an external application for skin care, as well as an internal tonic in convalescence. It became so renowned for its healing abilities that it was called "Self-Heal" and "Heal-All" by medieval herbalists, and the "Heart of the Earth" in early American herbals. Self-Heal flower essence is one of the most basic in flower essence therapy. It awakens the confidence and inner vital forces necessary for healing on all levels: physical, emotional and spiritual. Practitioners report Self-Heal flower essence as supporting many different combinations of essences, helping to positively engage the individual in his or her own recuperative process. Self-Heal essence is also used alone in beginning stages of therapeutic work, for it helps individuals come to terms with inner conflicts about being well, and to become more aware of any attitudes that may be life-denying rather than life-affirming.
Because of Self-Heal's vigorous health-enhancing properties, many have reported using the flower essence topically in a variety of ways with excellent results. We therefore formulated a Self-Heal™ Creme, made in a natural hypoallergenic base, specially potentized with Self-Heal flower essence and the Self-Heal fresh plant tincture. This creme can be used in a wide variety of circumstances — on wounds, cuts, rashes, sprains, and other injuries. Moreover, the Self-Heal™ Creme has been found highly effective for general skin care use. We have received a wide variety of reports from lay persons and practitioners alike who use the creme as a facial skin moistener, as a hand creme, or as a general body creme, and even for infant care. The Self-Heal™ Creme has such basic therapeutic and regenerative qualities that it can be used by young and old, in clinical situations and in home care. The creme has rapidly become one of our most popular items, and is in demand in many countries throughout the world. Mixing with Flower EssencesSelf-Heal™ Creme has a universal quality that makes it an excellent matrix for many different flower essence combinations. The wide-mouth glass jar of Self-Heal™ Creme conveniently supports custom preparations, tailored to your needs. We suggest no more than three to four essences in an individualized combination. Be sure to label your jar, as you may want to create several different mixtures. We recommend using 20 drops of flower essence stock per 30 ml / 1 oz jar of creme (100 drops for the 240 ml / 8 oz size). It is ideal to stir the mixture with a wooden stick for at least three minutes, alternating clockwise and counter-clockwise motions, and ending with a clockwise motion. Some suggested combinations: Please note: None of the combinations suggested below are meant to replace qualified treatment of diagnosed medical illness. Flower essences work on a more subtle level, helping to resolve issues within the mental-emotional realm which may also affect the physical body. Although the flower essences are commonly taken internally, they can also be applied topically and absorbed through the skin. Topical application seems to be most effective in those cases where there is a clear mind-body component. Emergency Situations and All-Purpose Health Care: Add Arnica, Red Clover, and the Healing Herbs Five-Flower Formula to Self-Heal™ Creme for a highly potent first-aid remedy. Arnica essence summons the forces of the Higher Self, while the Red Clover flower essence dispels the panic and hysteria that often accompanies emergency situations. Supporting these essences is Self-Heal, which works immediately to bring about a strong recuperative response in the etheric body. You may want to make a batch of this creme for your first-aid kit, and a liquid dosage bottle of the same combination, giving you both internal and external emergency aid. Sore Joints, Muscle Tension and Cramps: In addition to a good massage with an appropriate oil, you can lightly apply Self-Heal™ Creme to affected areas. Add Dandelion essence to disperse contracted, overly tense muscles, and Cayenne to bring catalytic warmth to such areas, helping to move "stuck" energy through the body. Add Chamomile essence and Mugwort Flower Oil to this combination for menstrual cramps, and rub over the uterine area. Using Self-Heal™ Creme with Essential OilsAromatherapists are reporting extraordinary results by mixing the Self-Heal™ Creme with essential oils. The natural ingredients and neutral aroma of this creme make it an ideal base for creating custom aromatherapeutic applications. The following are a few outstanding uses reported by practitioners. (Amounts given are for the 30 ml / 1 oz jar of Self-Heal Creme - please extend or modify for more or less creme.) Heart Balm: Blend 4-5 drops of pure Rose oil or 12 drops of Rose Oil Blend, and 4 drops of California Wild Rose and Borage flower essences. Apply nightly to the heart area with gentle massage motions. It helps to open the heart, to ease restriction, pain or grief felt within the heart. Emotional Release: Blend approximately 8 drops of Chamomile essential oil, 6 drops of Yarrow essential oil and several drops of Orange oil, with about 1/3 ounce of St. John's Wort oil. Massage into the stomach and solar plexus areas nightly with "figure eight" massage strokes. This helps to release excessive emotions stored in the stomach and solar plexus and can be helpful for digestive disturbances also. |
